We also have great HMO plans for IMPLANTS, but this article is focused on PPO plans.

Best Dental Insurance for IMPLANTS

Here are the coverage details of the best choice for dental insurance for IMPLANTS. The reason this plan takes our top spot for best dental insurance for IMPLANTS is that it has the highest first-day coverage amount with no waiting periods. It starts at 30% coverage. This coverage is great because it has no waiting period, it has first-day coverage, for IMPLANTS.  In addition, it also covers the highest percentage of all of our plans on this list. This plan has a little higher monthly premium than the others on our list, but you get what you pay for…. right?  Well, you do in this case. The average premium is about $75 per month. The premium may be a little higher or lower depending on the area of the country you live. This plan has first-day coverage for IMPLANTS, and all other services. No waiting periods. In general, we like to use companies with no waiting periods because a majority of people that call us are in need of dental work soon or many times they need coverage tomorrow. We don’t get many people calling us saying, “I’m looking for a plan that will have good coverage for IMPLANTS, because I think I will need them in 5 or 10 years.” 🙂

This plan has the highest coverage in the first year for all of our plans with first-day no waiting period coverage. This Plan will pay 30% for IMPLANTS on the first day. It has a graduated coverage schedule for IMPLANTS and other major services. The 2nd year of coverage will pay 40%, the 3rd year of coverage will pay 50%, and the 4th year and beyond it pays 60%. 60% is our highest coverage amount of all of the plans we recommend. A neat caveat with this plan is that it has a lifetime deductible of $100. All plans have a yearly deductible, but this plan’s deductible is only once per lifetime of the policy. That means once you have paid the deductible, you will not have to pay another deductible as long as you have the policy.

This best dental insurance for IMPLANTS also has great coverage for preventive services.  Starting on the first day and beyond it pays 100% of preventive services. This plan will pay for 2 exams per year along with 4 cleanings per year.

For diagnostic services like bitewing x-rays, it has the graduated system of coverage again.  50% coverage the first year, 75% coverage the second year, and 90% for the 3rd year and beyond.

The basic and major services coverage again is 30%, 40%, 50% 60% for years 1 through 4.  Examples of these services are, IMPLANTS, basic fillings, simple extractions, one diagnostic x-ray, full or panoramic in any 3 year period, oral surgery, endodontic treatment, periodontic services, restoration services – inlays, onlays, crowns, prosthetic services – bridges and dentures, veneers (restorative only).

Now let’s get to the annual maximums it will pay. First-year $1,200, 2nd year $2000, 3rd year $3,500, 4th+ year $6000. This plan also has our highest yearly maximums for a PPO plan and our no network plan.

2nd Best Dental Insurance for Implants

Here is the second-best dental insurance for IMPLANTS on our list. It also has a graduated benefit structure. That is, the benefits increase the first 3 years you have the plan and top out starting the 3rd year and thereafter. The first year of coverage will pay 25%, the second year 30%, and the 3rd year and thereafter will cover 50%.

In addition, this plan also has high maximum benefits per year. It has a graduated system set up for the maximum benefit as well. The first year the plan will pay a maximum of $1,200, the second year is $2,500, and the 3rd year and thereafter is $5,000. This maximum is a combination of all services you receive.

The plan has first-day, no waiting period coverage for all services. It will cover 2 exams a year and 3 cleanings a year. It also covers basic fillings, space maintainers, and bitewing x-rays. It also covers simple extractions, IMPLANTS, one diagnostic x-ray, full or panoramic in any 3 year period, oral surgery, endodontic treatment, periodontic services, restoration services; inlays, onlays, crowns, prosthetic services, bridges, dentures, and orthodontia.

The average premium is just under $50 per month. The monthly premium could be a little higher or lower depending on your area.

3rd Best Dental Insurance for Implants

Number 3 on our list is a program with first-day no waiting period coverage for IMPLANTS and other major services. This is a great program, but the reason it ranks lower on our list is that the other 2 programs above are extremely strong. When comparing this plan to all other plans available from name-brand competitors like Cigna, Met-Life, Delta-Dental, etc. it blows all of them out of the water too. This is why it is so important to use an independent agent to help you find your best dental insurance for IMPLANTS. Our ability to do the research in advance and all of our experience is a great service for you. Always remember, all of our services are free to you.  >>CLICK HERE FOR A DENTAL INSURANCE QUOTE<<

IMPLANTS and other major services are covered at 20% on the first day of coverage. No waiting period. Other major services include crowns, root canals, oral surgery, dentures, bridges, panoramic x-rays, and periodontics. After the plan has been in place for 1 year there is increased coverage for major services. The increased coverage moves from 20% the first year to 50% the second year and thereafter.

This program that covers IMPLANTS and other major services has an average premium of a little under $60 per month and that increases or decreases a little depending on the area of the country you live in.

There is great first-day no waiting period coverage for preventive services. It has 100% coverage for 2 times per year exams, 2 cleaning per year, and once yearly bitewing x-rays.

Basic services for filling and simple extractions come with no waiting coverage. This covers these services at 80% the first year and 90% starting the 2nd year and thereafter.

The annual maximum for this plan is very good the first year when compared to the other plans. It is $2000 for the first year. Starting the 2nd year and thereafter the annual maximum increases to $2,500. It is important to note that when you have preventive service procedures, this is not deducted from the plan’s annual maximum benefit. This plan saves your annual maximum to help pay for more expensive type 2 basic services like fillings, extractions, and type 3 major services like IMPLANTS, crowns, and more.

4th Best Dental Insurance for Implants

Forth on our best dental insurance for IMPLANTS is a plan that has the most bang for the buck. We will start with the average monthly premium. The monthly premium depends on your age along with your location. The average monthly premium is a little less than $50 dollars per month. This plan starts out with a $3,000 maximum benefit in the first year and stays at $3,000 for the life of the policy.

What is unique about this plan is you have coverage at any dentist in the United States you choose. This is great if you have a dental provider that doesn’t accept insurance.

The coverage for IMPLANTS and all services is first-day no waiting period coverage.  IMPLANTS and other major services are covered at 20% the 1st year and 50% for the 2nd year and thereafter. Examples of other major services include crown inlay/onlay, root canals, endodontic service, periodontal service, and prosthodontic service.

There is first-day coverage for preventive services like exams, cleanings, and bitewing x-rays. All before mentioned are covered twice per year. Other basic services covered on the first day are panoramic x-rays, periapical x-rays, periodontal non-surgical service, basic restorative services, fillings, basic oral surgery, periodontal service, and non-surgical extraction.

Another unique coverage for this plan is it has orthodontia coverage. And this coverage is for all ages and comes with a $ 1,500-lifetime max. There is a 1 year waiting period for orthodontia and it will cover at 50% starting the 2nd year and thereafter until the plan has paid the maximum of $1,500.

Dental Insurance for IMPLANTS Not Recommend to My Enemies

Here are two plans that are well advertised and heavily written about to rank in the search engines as “the best,” but fall short of the examples I have given that are the best dental insurance plans for IMPLANTS. The first is with Cigna. This is not a knock on Cigna as a whole. They are a great company. They have other great products like their cancer insurance, Medicare Supplement, but their dental just doesn’t stack up. Here’s why:

First of all, they have too many waiting periods. They put a 6-month waiting period just for fillings, non-routine x-rays, and routine tooth extractions. There is also a 1-year waiting period for their major services. Which include but are not limited to, periodontal (deep cleaning), crowns, root canal, dentures, partials, and bridges. IMPLANTS are not covered at all. You may ask, “why do you bring this plan up if it doesn’t cover IMPLANTS.” The average premium for this plan is over $50 per month. It has a waiting period for most services. After the waiting period, it only covers 50% of major services and also covers only 80% of basic restorative services (example: fillings).

More on Bad Dental Insurance Plans for Implants

Delta Dental is another name brand company that doesn’t stack up to our best and researched best dental insurance for IMPLANTS. I am detailing their PPO here (Dental Dental has a good HMO plan and is one of  our recommendations for HMO plans.) This PPO plan from Delta Dental has many holes with their waiting periods. They also advertise a network of dentists that is small compared to our best dental insurance plans for IMPLANTS. Their website promotes 3,441 Network general dentists.

The Delta Dental PPO plan has good first-day coverage for office visits, exams, cleanings, and e-rays. After you meet the $50 deductible all of these services are covered at 100%. But, this is the only coverage it has for the first 6-months. You have to wait for 6-months to get coverage for fillings, simple tooth extractions, teeth whitening, and mouthguard. It does have good coverage after the 6-months, this Dental Dental PPO plan will pay 80% and you are responsible for the other 20%.

There is a one-year waiting period for major services like surgical tooth removal, root canals, gum cleanings and treatments, denture repair, complete dentures, IMPLANTS, crowns, and child-adult orthodontics. Then the plan does have good coverage at 50%, but again, when compared to our top 4 best dental insurance plans for IMPLANTS, this plan lacks in comparison.
